L E Y L I N E S ⁓

Stolz präsentiere ich euch meine erste Ausstellung LEYLINES, die im wunderschönen Innenhof von Juwelier Brose in Berlin-Spandau stattfinden wird. Eröffnet wird jene am 10. Juni 2022 um 17:00 Uhr mit einer Vernissage. Hier stelle ich einzigartige Keramiken aus, umgeben von einer intimen und magischen Atmosphäre eines aus dem 17. Jahrhundert stammenden, ehemaligen Stalls.

LEYLINES beschreiben unsichtbare, geradlinige, heilige Wege, ausgerichtet auf historische Orte, verteilt über die ganze Welt. Sie alle eint etwas sehr Kraftvolles, das Menschen aus der ganzen Welt anzieht und fasziniert, so zum Beispiel Stonehenge, Glastonbury, Avalon oder die Pyramiden von Gizeh. Viele Kulturen zelebrieren diese Wege und Orte denen sie verschiedene Beschreibungen geben; China spricht von Drachenlinien, Südamerika nennt sie Spirit Lines, Australien bezeichnet sie als Traumwege.

Der Grund für mich, die Ausstellung LEYLINES zu nennen, liegt nicht darin begründet, dass ich mich als besonders religiös, oder spirituell empfinde. Die Schnittstelle für mich ist hier viel eher der Kraftort. Der Ort, an dem ich meine größte Kraft finde – und dieser ist genau da, wo ich mit Ton in Kontakt komme – in meinem Studio, an meiner Werkbank. Der Ton tritt mit mir in Resonanz, ich fühle mich ungezwungen, geerdet, erfüllt und dankbar, wenn ich meine Keramiken herstelle. Dass meine Stücke mittlerweile Orte auf der ganzen Welt gefunden haben, ist eine weitere Verwebung mit meinem Ausstellungstitel – wir alle sind durch sie miteinander verbunden. Ich hoffe sehr, dass du diese Energie und tiefe Liebe auch spürst, wenn du ein Stück von mir in deinen Händen hältst.

LEYLINES ist meine Interpretation von bedeutungsvollen Verbindungen, von Fragen und Antworten, von Verstehen und Nichtverstehen, von einer Liebe, die keine Worte braucht.

L E Y L I N E S ⁓

I proudly present you my very first exhibition LEYLINES, taking place in the beautiful backyard of Juwelier Brose in the older town of Berlin-Spandau, opening on June 10th 2022 at 5 pm. The backyard holds a former barn from the 17th Century, where I will show very unique ceramic pieces in an intimate and magical atmosphere.

LEYLINES are described as unvisible, straight, sacred lines which connect prehistoric places with each other. They all unite a specific, high energetic power which attracts and fascinates people from all over the world, such as Stonehenge, Glastonbury, Avalon or the Great Pyramids of Giza. Many cultures around the world have an understanding of these unique lines; China calls them Dragon Lines, South America Spirit Lines and Australia Dream Lines.

The reason why I call this Exhibition LEYLINES is not the fact I feel especially religious and spiritual. The intersection to me is finding a place where I feel my highest power - and that is by only touching clay, it resonates with me. I feel absolutely fulfilled and grateful when I am in my studio, at my desk and hold clay in my hands. It´s like the clay speaks to me, it has something to say. It makes me feel at ease and in the zone. The fact that my art found new homes around the world is another connection to my title - we are connected through them. I really hope you feel that energy and deep love too.

The exhibition LEYLINES is my interpretation of drawn alignments, of resonance, of understanding and incomprehension and of love, which never needs any words.
